Now that you’ve evaluated your current business situation and set your strategic and functional goals, let’s use that information to bring focus to the work you’ll be doing during THIS program.

Today’s Topic: Focusing Your Attention

Without goals, you are more likely to run aimlessly from one thing to the next, or place your focus on putting out the fires that flare up instead of putting your energy into what is really important in your business. Without a destination in mind, it is easy to lose focus and momentum, and not achieve your dreams. A great author and success coach, Napoleon Hill, summed this up perfectly when he said, “A goal is a dream with a deadline.”

As you progress through this program, keep your eyes on your strategic and functional goals. We’ll help you do that, in part, by teaching you how to create a weekly and daily schedule (in a later video). But, for now, let’s set get the path that will help you achieve your goals.

Today’s Action: Choose A Functional Goal and Create Accountability

Now is the time for you to choose a primary functional goal for your business. Stay focused on what you REALLY want to achieve with this program, review the list of goals you created earlier and then choose or create ONE functional goal that supports your larger strategic goal.

This should be a goal that you can attain in 90 days.

If not, then revisit your functional goals, and prepare one that gives you a 90-day timeframe.

Also, for this program, we suggest that you focus on a goal that will have a direct, positive impact on finding more clients or new revenue.

Your final action for today is to contact your support system and let them know what your primary functional goal is. By letting others know what you are working to achieve, you create accountability and you lock-in the power of having a goal!
